Since 2015, Kaitlyn has been a valuable member of the Kernutt Stokes team. She joined the firm as an associate and later served as a senior associate before stepping into her current role. As a manager, Kaitlyn works in the firm’s Audit & Assurance Department, serving clients in the construction and insurance sectors. In addition to her client responsibilities, Kaitlyn serves as the firm’s “A&A Futurist.” In this capacity, she is charged with uncovering potential technology and software resources and different ways of innovating to help the firm increase efficiency, better serve its clients, and ensure that it remains a leader in the accounting field. Prior to joining Kernutt Stokes, Kaitlyn spent 1.5 years working for a Big Four firm.
An energetic and determined professional, Kaitlyn’s goal is for her clients to view her as a trusted advisor. She seeks to always provide them with a great experience. Kaitlyn chose to pursue a career in accounting because she wanted to work in a field where no day would be the same and in an environment where she has the opportunity to work closely with others to solve problems. She attributes her career success to keeping the focus on her clients, taking ownership of the projects with which she is tasked, and always seeing things through to the end.
Raised in Junction City, Oregon, Kaitlyn currently lives with her husband, Teddy, their daughter Evelyn, and their chocolate Labrador, Gus. Kaitlyn loves the Willamette Valley area because it is the center point of so many things—a large city, mountains, and the ocean. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, cooking, backpacking, boating, and playing sports—her favorites are basketball and soccer.
