Andrea Smith, CPA, CPC

Andrea has been exclusively involved in providing qualified retirement plan design and consulting, third-party plan administration, and plan documentation services for all facets of qualified and non-qualified employee benefit plans for more than 15 years. Her advanced skills in the retirement plan area help her provide clients and their employees with efficient, high quality, value added services.

Andrea is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and possesses the Certified Plan Consultant (CPC) credential. This is the highest designation ASPPA awards to non-actuaries, earned through a series of examinations and additional education focusing on retirement plan compliance and design areas.

Andrea’s depth of experience enhances her work assisting clients with planning and implementing employee benefit plans. Andrea manages approximately ten employee benefit plan audits annually, as well as providing consulting and plan administration services to approximately 70 plans annually.

Andrea is able to help her clients retain valued employees by assisting in the selection of a plan design and investment platform that maximizes the employees’ retirement savings. She invests a significant amount of time studying current policies and obtaining advanced training in the retirement plan arena. Andrea utilizes her knowledge to provide innovative solutions and consulting to her clients, aiding them in the development of valuable strategic benefits plans.

Andrea grew up in Nyssa, Oregon. She joined Kernutt Stokes after graduating from the University of Oregon in 1994. Andrea resides in Eugene, and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, traveling, and watching British movies and television.
