Kernutt Stokes Partners Haley Lyons and Steve Ritchie Recognized on Forbes 2025 List of Best-In-State CPAs

Kernutt Stokes, a leading Oregon-based certified public accounting firm, is proud to announce that partners Haley Lyons and Steve Ritchie have been named to the prestigious Forbes 2025 list of Best-In-State CPAs. This recognition highlights top accounting professionals across the country based on their expertise, experience, and integrity.

Haley Lyons, who leads the firm’s virtual accounting business, and Steve Ritchie, Kernutt Stokes’ Managing Partner, were both selected for this inaugural list, underscoring their significant contributions to the accounting profession and their dedication to client service.

In addition to her Forbes recognition, Haley Lyons was recently selected as the Pacific regional director of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA)’s 2024-25 Board of Directors. NASBA is the leading organization for the nation’s Boards of Accountancy and plays a critical role in the regulation and licensing of CPAs. Lyons also currently serves as the chair of the Oregon State Board of Accountancy. She joined Kernutt Stokes in 2007 and is a graduate of Oregon State University.

This marks another significant Forbes recognition for Steve Ritchie, who was previously named one of “America’s Top 200 CPAs” for 2024. He was the only CPA in the Northwest to receive this distinction last year. As Managing Partner, Ritchie oversees the strategic direction and operations of Kernutt Stokes. He has been with the firm since 1996 and is a graduate of University of Oregon.

Forbes’ selection process for the Best-In-State CPAs list is independent, and candidates do not pay any fee for consideration or selection.
