John Brewer, CPA

John joined Kernutt Stokes in 2013 and currently serves as a tax manager in the firm’s tax department. His responsibilities include providing comprehensive tax and consulting services to the firm’s clients, including trust and estate planning and compliance services. He serves clients in a variety of industries, including Real Estate, fishing, forest products, manufacturing and trucking.

Known for his kindness and proactive approach, John is an important asset to the firm. He attributes his success to a combination of hard work, opportunity and consistency. His high school accounting teacher was the source of his inspiration to pursue a career in the accounting field. John’s favorite quote is “In everything you choose to do in your life, find joy,” and he seeks to model this attitude in his both his work and life in general.

John currently resides in Salem, OR with his wife, McKenna. John likes to spend his time pursuing a variety of hobbies, including cooking, hiking, camping, sports and photography.
