Jennifer Cranford, CPA

Jennifer joined the Kernutt Stokes team in December 2013 and was promoted to partner in June 2021. She specializes in real estate, hospitality, and privately held businesses.

Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer worked for eight years as the chief financial officer at Ridgeline Management Company, where she managed the accounting department and prepared financial statements for numerous assisted living communities across the United States. Ridgeline Management Company owned certain business interests as tenants-in-common with other individuals or single member LLCs. Jennifer’s experience in the industry and exposure to various business structures translates well to the skill set used in working with Kernutt Stokes clients. She started her accounting career in industry at DeLong’s Inc., a steel fabricating plant, in Jefferson City, Missouri. She worked six years as the assistant controller before moving to Eugene, Oregon in 2005. Her assistant controller responsibilities included preparing monthly financial statements and preparing and filing multi-state sales tax reports.

She attributes her success in work and life to her experiences growing up and living in numerous places, including Izmir, Turkey and Ansbach, Germany. She constantly adapted to new environments and different people, changing schools 5 times. One of her favorite sayings comes from a Greek philosopher – change is the only constant in life.

Jennifer relocated to the Bend/Redmond area in September 2019. She enjoys hiking, reading, and visiting Oregon wineries. She recently started trail bike riding on the east side of the Cascades and frequents the Cline Buttes Recreation area. She resides in Redmond with her husband and their boxer/husky mix rescue dog, Nelly.
