“For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it.”
― Amanda Gorman

Amy’s career path includes several twists and turns, all of which led her to Kernutt Stokes, where she serves as the director of marketing and business development. She has almost 20 years in the professional services sector, including 14 years for a Eugene, Oregon-based commercial bank where she was the vice president and marketing director prior to the bank’s acquisition. As she likes to say, she traded bankers and lenders for CPAs when she joined Kernutt Stokes in 2020.

Amy loves what she does, finding true enjoyment in helping her coworkers succeed so they can in turn help their clients be successful. She brings passion, enthusiasm, and a competitive spirit with her, especially when it comes to brand strategy, creating opportunities for the firm and its staff, and all things marketing. She has done a number of public speaking engagements for various local and national organizations on topics such as marketing, social media, company culture, employee volunteerism, and corporate donor relations. She also serves on the firm’s Culture Committee and Social Committee.

Amy lives in her hometown of Eugene with her rescue dog, Finnegan, and loves the area because of the beauty all around as well as the proximity to the Oregon Coast, the mountains, walking trails, and wineries. She is an active community volunteer, and in her free time, Amy enjoys cheering for the Oregon Ducks, watching sports, traveling, cooking, gardening, anything having to do with Ireland, and spending time with friends, family, and Finnegan.
